Welcome! How does this preview of the e-learning belonging to the courses of Taalthuis up to level A2 work?

1. Self-study Beginners Basic (A0-A1)

This course of 12 lessons is for beginners who don't have the time to take a fully supported course. This course is a perfect combination with the grammar module.

2. Introduction course (A0)

The short Introduction course consists of 7 lessons and a test. This course is offered in companies, and there is a unique introduction course for au pairs. 

3. Beginners Basic course (A0-A1)

This course of 12 lessons and an exam is for beginners who like to have the support of a teacher. You can follow this course in the classroom or online.

4. Beginners Plus course (A0-A2)

If you speak German or Afrikaans or already have some knowledge of the Dutch language, this fast-paced course is the right choice. You can follow the 12 lessons either in a classroom or online.

5. Intermediate course (A1-A2)

This course of 12 lessons and an exam is for students who already finished a beginner's course at A1 level. You have to be able to speak and master the grammar at A1 level.  This course is offered in a classroom or online.

6. Children (8-12)

Learn Dutch with fun! This course of 8 lessons is the right choice for children who wish to learn Dutch and communicate with confidence. Every lesson has lots of fun exercises and games to do and songs to listen to.

7. Grammar module (A1-A2)

This module contains all grammar up to A2 combined with a lot of fun exercises and games to put the knowledge into practice. Because we’ve grouped all information and all exercises, this module gives you a perfect overview of Dutch basic grammar.

8. Culture course (A2)

This online self-study course consists of 18 lessons with very diverse topics, all about living in the Netherlands. There are stories in every lesson. You can read them, and listen to them as a podcast. We also provide you with extensive background information in English about every specific topic of that lesson. You can do fun exercises and play a memory game. To complete the exercises, study the grammar.

9. Preparation course (A0)

The preparation course consists of 7 lessons and a test. It is fun to do before starting your beginners' course! Every lesson contains grammar to study, vocabulary and songs to listen to and exercises to do. If there are words or sentences you can listen to, please repeat them to yourself several times!

When you finish this ‘Preparation Course’ for sure you want to learn more about the Dutch language and find out what life’s about in that beautiful green, flowery, sometimes cold and wet country!
